Tropic Thunder (2008)

Speedman, Lazarus, Chino, Portnoy and Sandusky are dropped off with Cockburn in the middle of the jungle who sternly explains that he's going to use hidden cameras ("guerrilla-style") to capture real fear as they survive the real jungle. The actors are only given a map and a scene listing to guide them to the helicopter waiting at the end of the jungle. Just as he walks away, Cockburn is blown to pieces by an old landmine. The actors, with the exception of Lazarus, are convinced that this is some of Cockburn's special effects trickery. Unbeknownst to the actors, they were dropped in the middle of the Golden Triangle, the home of the heroin-producing Flaming Dragon gang. The Dragons believe the actors to be DEA agents and are put off to see Speedman, trying to convince the others that Cockburn's death is a trick, doing a gruesome display with Cockburn's severed head. Believing the Dragons to be actors playing Vietcong, the actors engage them in a gunfight (though the actors only have blank rounds). Tayback and Cody, waiting on a nearby ridge and unaware of the real dangers below, blow a large explosive that causes the Dragons to retreat. After the "fight scene", the actors continue into the jungle to continue the "shoot". Tayback and Cody attempt to locate the now-deceased director. As the two argue and struggle (it is revealed that Tayback still has hands), they are surrounded and captured by the Dragons. [imdb]

Mickey Blue Eyes (1999)

An art-house auctioneer (Hugh Grant) finds himself getting in deeper and deeper with the mob after learning that his teacher girl friend (Jeanne Tripplehorn) is the daughter of a major mobster (James Caan). Things get worse when a godfather (Burt Young) decides to launder his no-talent son's gory paintings through the art house and gets the FBI into the picture. Cyborg Soldier (2008)

WEAPON centers on a lonely U.S. border patrol agent, played by (Tiffani Thiessen), who captures a genetically engineered super-soldier, played by (Rich Franklin). It begins as the soldiers creator, played by (Bruce Greenwood), attempts to hunt them down. Based on a screenplay by John Flock and Christopher Warre Smets, the film is produced by Joshua Gray and directed by John Stead. Jacqueline Kelly, Barbara Sacks, Kate Harrison and Lewin Webb serve as the films executive producers. Peace Arch will distribute the picture in Canada and act as worldwide sales agent. Shooting has began. Early December shooting was in Hamilton and surrounding areas (Jerseyville, Dundas). Look for a Green el camino in the movie, as well as a few NY State Sherrifs cars. [imdb]

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)

A science professor whose radical theories have completely tarnished his reputation. While backpacking across Iceland with his nephew Sean, the two explorers find a cave that leads them deep down into the bowels of the planet. And so they go on a quest to find out what has happened to the scientist's missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discovers a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth. The Simpsons Movie (2007)

Homer adopts a pig who's run away from Krusty Burger after Krusty tried to have him slaughtered, naming the pig "Spider Pig." At the same time, the lake is protected after the audience sink the barge Green Day are on with garbage after they mention the environment. Meanwhile, Spider Pig's waste has filled up a silo in just 2 days, apparently with Homer's help. Homer can't get to the dump quickly so dumps the silo in the lake, polluting it. Russ Cargill, the villainous boss of the EPA, gives Arnold Schwarzenegger 5 options, forcing him to choose 4 (which is, unfortunately, to destroy Springfield) and putting a dome over Springfield to prevent evacuation.
